October would not be October if not for a celebration of Oktoberfest!
So to welcome fall, Plesser’s Luxury Appliances and Coastal Cabinet Works hosted our first Oktoberfest. Food, spirits, and music attracted multiple trade professionals, from the tri-state area, to join together Thursday evening, October 5th, at our Southampton location to mingle with new and familiar faces. Oktoberfest was sponsored by Dacor, a high-end, luxury brand of kitchen appliances. When guests entered the showroom they were taken away by the beautiful Dacor range that was on display.
To commence the night, our guests grabbed their souvenir mug to be filled with their choice of beer which included Sam Adams, Greenport Leaf Pile Ale, Angry Orchard or Stella Artois. By the end of the night, each guest had found their favorite as our beer van turned to be the biggest attraction.
But, it was only one-third of the must-haves for a successful Oktoberfest.
The other two include a hefty plate of delicious food to have the beer wash down and perfectly tuned music. The savory smells coming from Bubba’s Backyard Catering blew in the direction of our guests and as it finally came time to eat, everyone was served with freshly made burgers, salads and sides. With a full plate and glass on every table, conversations stormed all outside but they weren’t strong enough to overpower the acoustic tunes of Jon and Anthony. This duo created a tranquil setting to match the mood of the night.
To enjoy them as much as we did visit: Bubba’s Backyard Catering and Jon & Anthony
It was not all drinking, eating and listening to our acoustic duo though.
As part of the Long Island community, we find it in our hearts to benefit our community through assisting families and other local businesses in need. As we come up with creative ways to raise money for our charities, tonight’s choice was raffling off an orange Weber Tabletop Grill and also a Bose speaker.
With spirits being poured into each mug, the spirit of giving poured out of our guests as we were able to raise $360 from our raffle for our selected charity, Timothy Hill Children’s Ranch.
Opened for the first time in November of 1980, Timothy Hill has been a safe retreat for children who have endured abuse, neglect, and crisis by strengthening their mind, body, and soul. The story of this ranch touched our hearts as we hope it does to you. To read the history and contribute please visit: www.timothyhill.org
We thank everyone who came to celebrate and we hope to see you again next year with more familiar and new faces! Happy Fall!
